Topic: Not to maintain F-1 Student status after filing AOS

Hello everyone, General Info of my case: I filed I485 at the beginning of September (under F2A Category). Now NBC is working on my case. My finger print schedule will be on September 30. In this case, I understand that I am not maintaining my F-1 student status. Can I inform my school that I filed AOS, and I no longer need to take classes? Thank you in advance for all opinions.
