I had filed my I-485 application (PD Aug 5, 2013) for marriage based Green Card (F2A) when I was in Orlando, FL. I'm currently on H1B & moved to Jacksonville,FL in Oct for my job while my case status was in "Testing &Interview" phase. I had notified USCIS of the change in address within 10 days of my move. I had even confirmed this via phone calls & was also reflected in the Case Status online on their website. Now, I received an appointment for interview in Orlando office for next month. The interview mail was also sent to my old address but fortunately I had mail forwarding & got it at my new address. 1) I can easily go to Orlando office & give interview but I'm not sure if it will cause any complications since I no longer live there ? 2) Any suggestions/advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Wow. congrats for you guys. Did you ask for expedite process? or just simply approved? Citizen or LPR? I dont know why Vermont is not moving faster ... :(
I'm not even aware of any option for expediting the process. It was just a normal filing for LPR. Hope it helps.

My I-130 also got approved under F2A category . My PD was June 2013 and case was with California Service Center. So, it appears I-130 petitions are moving fast.

YES,we do have to send the G-325A along with I-485, I-131 and I-765 forms but just send it for the beneficiary of the I-130 petition.

I have few more questions regarding completing I-765 form and I'm trying to keep this thread specific to I-765 so that it can be used as a reference for others if they ever need it. My profile : I'm working on H-1B ; wife is LPR ; I-130 pending with PD June 2013 for F2A. Questions/clarifications needed for the follwing :- Ques 1) "I am applying for..." question at the start of the form has 3 option checkboxes to select from. Which one should I select ?? "Permission to accept employment" [h]OR[/h] "Renewal of my permission to accept employment (attach previous employment authorization document) I was going to select the first one (Permission to accept employment" but now I'm thinking that I might fall under the other option (Renewal of ...) since I have already used OPT earlier and currently working on H-1B . Q2) Ques#11 is requiring to provide "Which USCIS Office" if previously applied for Employment authorization from USCIS. I don't know how to answer that. Is there a way I can find that information ? My OPT was applied when I was in school in Texas long time back and from there on my employers have been filing my H-1B ? Q3) Ques#16, Go to the "Who May File Form I-765" ... The answer should be entered as : (c) (9) ( ) OR ( ) (c) (9) ? Thanks
I'm filing I-765 form for EAD under F2A category as my wife is LPR. I was wondering what should I answer for ques# 15 for "Current Immigration Status". I came to US on F1 (Student) visa, completed my Master's and then worked on OPT till I could switch to H1b. I have been working on H1b since then without any gap or break in employment . As I never left US, I don't have H1b visa stamped on my passport. The original VISA for F1 stamped on my passport was valid for 2.5 yrs and I haven't left US since I entered on F1. So, I believe I have been maintaining my status but not sure what should I answer for Ques# 15 in form I-765 . What should I enter for "Current Immigration Status" ? Student (F1) or Skilled Worker (H1b) ? Thanks
I got the answer: H-1B . Please let me know if someone disagrees.
