You don't need to worry. Your status is "Pending adjustment of status" and you can stay and work in the US legally while your I-485 is pending. even if it takes 10 years for the I-485 to get approved, you can renew your EAD annually. So, the bottom line is, with retrogression, you will get the Green card later; but it does not affect your status while you are waiting.

I was on J-1 visa and I had 2-year home residency requirement at that time. Although, I received the waiver at the beginning of December and as you said, I had to send the I-485 at that time. If the PD retrogresses before my interview, I am screwed.

Hi All. My priority date (for F2A) is 7/1/2013 and I sent my I-485 at the end of February 2014 (few days after we got I-130 approval). I am wondering if it will have any effect on my application if the visa bulletin for F2A retrogresses before my interview (or before my GC gets approved); or as I sent I-485 in Feb 2014 (when my priority date was current), it will remain current, no matter how long it takes for AOS to gets processed.
