My mother (green card holder) filed an I-130 for me last year. The priority date is September 20 of 2013. Any chances there will be any forward movement in the visa bulletin before there is a retrogression on the F2A category? I turned 21 in January and my petition is still under initial review. I am currently in the United States under a student visa (F1), but I am originally from Colombia, South America.
I appreciate any information you're able to provide.
Thank you so much!
Per the latest information from USCIS/DOS, F2A is not expected to move forward. Please see the blog post below for more details from F2A categories from USCIS/DOS:
Thank you for the info Amazon.
On the other hand I checked with the GC calculator and taking into account my PD (Sept 20 of 2013) it says it will be current by Dec 2019, which obviously worried me a little bit. How accurate is that information?
Visa bulletin dates movements depends on many things and these changes every month. Hence the data would change every month. The forward movement in F2A category would directly depend on total received and hence we would have to wait for a while before we get those numbers. There is a high chance that it could movement forward in fiscal year 2015 (after the retrogression expected by USCIS/DOS).
I appreciate the information... I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Let's hope for the best.
Thank you so much Amazon,
