I called the NVC and they said all numbers for visa interviews were given until May 7th and if I wasn't notified it's because I didn't get any number for an interview :(
Lets hope for best now. Do we really have other choice? they say "you dont know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice"
My embassy schedules their interviews, not NVC
It's different in my case I had to wait for them to send all the documents and schedule an interview at my local embassy... They took too long! And because of that I didn't get an interview on time!
I hope this lawyer is right! http://www.avvo.com/legal-answers/f2a-completed-but-june-visa-bulletin-retrogressed-1709693.html
Every step takes too long. He is right, but he means if you get the actual interview you get the visa. But if they only schedule ur interview for june, it will be cancelled unless visa bulletin changes.
я дуже жалкую Наташа :(((((((
Thats really horrible. Let me know if I can do anything. Have your husband talk to a lawyer (if you havent already - maybe you can apply for asylum, its a long shot). Hopefully there will be some forward movement again next month...
Do you have a tourist visa?
On a side note:
The NVC and 'doctor' Charles Oppenheim need to do a better job, theres no excuse for retrogression. August 2013 they moved the F2A cutoff date forward almost 2 YEARS, kept it current for 2 months, then stopped at Sept 2013. Then now, they move it back 1.5 years... That makes no sense, why not just incrementally move it foward little by little, and generate slow, consistent demand. If you get too much demand, stop it for 1 or 2 months. No, instead they move it WAY ahead and then retrogress WAY backwards because of too much demand. It doesnt take a PHD to figure how non-sensical that is!
We all are victims of the system. That doesn't make any sense at all. They don't realize how hard it is on families, how heartbreaking this wait is. But we got lucky, the embassy has received my papers and I was able to schedule my interview. It was today. But I don't know the results yet. The website says my case is undergoing administrative processing. I read for some people it takes weeks. So I'm not relieved yet. I hope it says issued today or tomorrow.
Thats great to hear!
How did the interview go? Was it crowded? Did you have a long wait?
Really glad you got your interview scheduled (finally). Youll be here in the US in no time. Ypaaa!
Well administrative processing might take some time, sure. But look on the bright side, you should be good to go now! The wait sucks but uncertainty is worse.
Thank you for ur support. For the immigrants it wasn't crowded at all. Up to 10 people. I hope the ap doesn't take longer than 2 weeks. I ll let u know the results
"Issued' showed up the next day. Now I'm relieved! Thanks God. Hope to pick it up today or tomorrow
