Thanks Amazon for the tip:) Now I have another question and I need your help. Where should I submit the I-485 package? I browsed through 485 instructions and could not get the correct address for my case (i.e. filing I485 based on a pending I130 since the F2A category may become current in the Aug/Sep visa bulletin). Thanks for your help.

Glad you were able to use the "quote" feature [biggrin] Also I moved the post (about filing F2A outside US) in a different thread.

Hi Amazon, thank you for the useful information you posted, we all really appreciate it. I already posted, and your FAQ link was very useful, but I have 2 more questions for you. Hopefully you can help me out with this one as well. I am a LPR and I filed the I130 for my wife who is outside the US, so we are going thru consular processing. (Preference category F2A) Our PD was April 8 2013 and we have received NoA1, but we are still waiting to be approved by USCIS. I know this is what we have to wait for first and then they will forward everything to NVC. According to website they were processing applications prior to March 19 2012 (this info was updated April 30 2012). Now according to the new processing times (updated May 31 2012) they are processing applications prior to April 16 2012. Is this the usual pace they work with?? Otherwise we will miss out on this huge opportunity that our preference category is Current for the next few months. Is there anyway they will get to our case in time and we can move forward with our case? I know we have to be patient, and I am sure there a lot of couples waiting for such a long time, but we are hoping for the best. In case we miss out on this one, what do you think the PD will be in October or November when they go back to the "usual way" ? Thank you for all your help, we cant thank you enough for your answers. Have a great weekend, FK

There has been many cuts in other federal government which has increased processing times.
Is there anyway they will get to our case in time and we can move forward with our case?
They would go by date when USCIS received the application. If csc is still on nov 2011, when will I receive then the noa2 for form I-130 that I filed? I received the noa1 stating the pd was nov 2012. Can the csc not adjust their processing timeframe to synchronize with the pd on current?

CSC only have limited people who can handle the large volume of cases. Hence the delay which could increase if a large volume of people file more applications with USCIS. You can see the latest volume of pending cases in link below: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/07/uscis-fb-i-485-i-130-processing.html

Thanks amazon for the info!. Its just that you know I'm hoping that since f2a in VB is current , my husband's pd would be on consular process anytime even without the noa2 yet....but I'm hoping that since we sent all the info and docu needed his will catch up before vb retrogresses. Again, thank u! I really do appreciate it!

Guys, unfortunately nobody can tell when USCIS will process your case. My PD is April 2013, but honestly I do not believe we will be able to take advantage of F2A being current if we filed in 2013. You just have to wait... Trust me I know it is bad and not fair to families... According to the latest processing times (this is from May 31 2013) they have a huge backlog, they are processing cases prior to 16th of April 2012. And this is Vermont Service Center. In CSC its even worse. If you filed in 2012 you have a better chance, if F2A remains Current for the next few months. If anybody got any news who got the NoA2 with what PD, that would be really helpful!!!!!! I heard some people got NoA2 and their PD was August 2012, but I don't know if it is true or not. Good luck everybody!!
