I too was pleasantly surprised. I had to look at the year twice to make sure it was september 2013 and not 2012!!! I too am looking forward to hearing from amazon . Is September 2013 likely here to stay? Thanks.

Molly - Technically F2A category retrogressed in Oct VB. Remember Oct VB is valid from Oct 1. So from Oct 1, they would only process applications (I485 or CP) with PD earlier than Sept 8, 2013. Quote:Amazon what will happen to all those persons whose PD is in 2012 and still hasn't gotten any noa2 under f2a They should be fine since their PD is earlier than the new cutoff date in October VB. Amazon..! I'm excited to hear from you! Due to insufficient data, it is hard to estimate right now. I have posted a rough draft of November 2013 visa bulletin predictions in http://www.mygcvisa.com/...letin-november-2013.aspxCurrently I am estimating it at no more forward movement. However there is certainly a possibility of further retrogression. We will know more in few days/weeks. I was surprised same as everyone that the new cutoff date is September 2013 The Sept 2013 date could either be due to: (1) lower demand than expected or (2) USCIS trying to accurately estimate demand for full fiscal year 2014. If its second option, there could be higher retrogression. They are doing the same in EB2 India; which moved forward by 3 years and is likely to retrogress back by around 3 years. Checkout analysis of October 2013 Visa Bulletin in link below: http://blog.mygcvisa.com...tober-2013-analysis.html |

Is there any way to know that current Consular Processing is doing for which PD under F2A in India? I mean how many people get interviewed by NVC in a month? please reply.

and amazon , since oct is the start of fiscal year 2014, and cut off date is still almost current, if most of the visas will be used already , meaning ... we can expect very slow or no movement at all during the end part of fiscal year..

I have mailed my application (130, 485, 765, 131) yesterday (Sept 9th). If all goes well, hoping I will be able to establish a PD sometime this week of September... lets say Sept 15th... Because USCIS will continue to process my application till Oct 1st.... I'm hoping I will still be eligible to get EAD and AP in about 90 days time. right?
Though I might have to wait for the final 485 to be adjudicated or even an interview date to be scheduled...right?

Since quota resets on October 1, there would be lots of visas available for F2A category. |

Yes. They will continue to process EAD and AP application. They can also preadjudicate the I-485 application if dates are not current. You can check out the latest statistics in link below: http://blog.mygcvisa.com...85-i-130-processing.html |
