Hi, My wife is F2A and we are waiting for our PD (Nov ,2013) to become current so we can apply for I-485. I just received a letter from NVC to pay a fee and wait for her to go to embassy. As far as she is in US legally ( maintaining her F1 status), what is this for? have they made a mistake? what should I do? Thank you,

Hi, I am having the same situation as your case(F1-student and GreenCard marriage). They approved my I130 and on I797 they said that "not eligible to adjust the status" and will transfer the case to NVC. I am afraid to have the same problem. Please update your case progress, so I could expect mine. Thanks

We did nothing. Ourdate became current and we filed the AoS. So far so good. Will update soon.
