Hey Amazon, I would like to ask a question which is important for me. It will affect my wedding date:) I really wonder how much is the F2a Will retrogress.. In your other posts, you say it is going to retrogress in few months. Is it for all countries? Because I expect the retrogression should be for Mexico or philippines. Because what I know (I'm not sure if its true). There is a 7 percent limit for each section. I think in f2a category should be mostly from Mexico..If "all another chargeability areas" does not reach its 7 percentage limit. Why do they retrogress?? Can you clarify it more. I really don't know the visa number availability issues well

The USCIS/DOS is expecting all countries in the F2A category to retrogress. Mexico is expected to retrogress sooner than other countries due to higher demand. It is currently not clear on how much it will retrogress for all countries. Some more data from USCIS would help in determining the demand.

Thank you Amazon for your respond. Another thing I don't understand is; F2A category was current in August and September...Lots of people waiting before August to become current and also since its current new people applied after August. Let's say total 100K people applied for visa in Aug and Sep. Then uscis provides them fiscal year 2014's future visas to them? Thanks again

Fiscal year 2014 is from October 2013 to September 2014. Typically visas are allotted 25% every quarter. Hence USCIS would have already allotted around 30% or more of the visas for fiscal year 2014. For F2A fiscal year 2013, please see this blog post on how many visas were allotted: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2014/01/eb-and-fb-green-cards-alloted-in-fiscal.html
