MOVING THIS TOPIC UNDER FAMILY-BASED Hi all, Sorry if that topic has already been covered or if I'm not in the right section of the forum. I've a question regarding F2A. I understand the DOS has indicated that F2A will retrogress soon for Mexico and towards end of 2014 for rest of the world. My question is, will it move forward before retrogressing? We have a priority date for Oct 27th, 2013 with my wife (she's english). Wondering if cut-off date will get there before any retrogression kicks-in. Any views? Thanks in advance. ========================================== jvanhuynh's answer (thx for that) : The answer is "No", F2A will be at the same point before retrogress later. FYI, you said your PD is Oct27th 2013, so you have to wait until your PD is current. In my opinion, you have to wait at least 1 more year till FY2015, so at that point your PD will be current. Good luck brother. There and many applications in F2A, but the supply is only 89,000 visa per Fiscal Year. Also, Mexico will wait longer than other country because Mexico's applications are too much.

Hello, I petitioned my wife from the Philippines under F2A. Our priority date is September 9th, 2013. I was also worried that NVC might not process her case since we didn't make it to the latest cutoff date. USCIS already approved the petition. I'm just hoping the cutoff date moves forward before it retrogresses. Please keep us posted. Will update you also. Thanks you. RB
