Hi, I am wondering how accurate is the green card tracker. I am from India, and my priority date in the EB1B category is 29th March, 2018. My I-140 was approved through premium processing in 10 days and I had my interview on the 31st of January, 2019. However, because of the backlog for EB1 green cards, my case is still under review. The green card tracker says that my priority date will become current in July?! It seems a little unbelievable because there has been no movement in the EB1 category for India in the last two months. It is now processing February 22, 2017 cases. Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone having trusted in the green card tracker and the prediction has proved to be right? Thanks in advance, Tilottama

Yeah, I agree with you there. My priority date is April 5th 2018, and the GC tracker says it will be current in July. The prediction by mygcvisa doesn't seem to be based on any factual things. When USCIS released the April bulletin, mygcvisa predicted a 6 months movement in May bulletin. Now the may bulletin is released, shows no movement at all.

Hi Prasanth, Yes, I saw the release yesterday. Very disappointing! There has been no movement at all for the last 3 months. I don't think it is advisable to trust the green card tracker's predictions. It is all wrong. Good luck with the wait....I feel your pain as I am in the same boat. Thanks, Tilottama

It seems employers are starting to file their Indian workers as EB1 to get around the EB2/EB3 backlog, so that's why movement has slowed. But I wouldn't stress too much, if you have a I-140 approved you can always apply for EAD if your H1B/L1 is expiring. Encourage your employer to do this ASAP when eligible because EAD processing times are slowing too.

Hi protazoid, Thanks for your kind reply. Yes, I had applied for my EAD card renewal on Feb 8th, and came to know two days back that they have mailed it. I wouldn't have stressed so much if my family was together. My husband is in India. His green card processing will start only after ours is approved. His will be consular processing. Thanks and Regards, Tilottama
