Out of curiosity, anyone knows if the fast approvals are for I-130 plus adjustment of status or consular processing?

Hi Amzon! I read your news and it's said that "USCIS has done this random processing before (in EB2 category) and it is likely to do the same in F2A category. This also helps balance cases and looks good in USCIS reportin". Isn't it sure to get NOA2 though everything is good on my i130 of the priority date jan, 2013?

Would it help to call them and ask about our case? Maybe a Tier 2 officer? It really looks like they randomly processing cases. The latest info we have is that they already got to March 2013, but there are people waiting from 2012 as well. If you got approved, please share your PD, your category, if you are a citizen or LPR and the service center, so we might have an idea whats going on. Thanks. FK

FK
Calling USCIS for case status is of no use. They are going to read the message which appears in your case status. In fact I did call USCIS and the officer said they are processing April 2012 applications.

amazon , just curious ... so happy for those approved ones... but why is it the approval is so random? bec there's still 2011 filers waiting for noa2? what's the sense of having pd?
This is what I was thinking. I have a PD of June 2012, if retrogression happens in Oct, where does that leave me? People in late 2012 have been approved and some in 2013 but some of 2011 and 2012 nothing. They really shouldn't be approving randomly, it should be done via PD date. I feel sorry for those in 2011.
PD is used by USCIS when VB has a cutoff date. If the category is "Current" in VB, then USCIS will process application from all years (2011 to 2013); instead of only from 2011. This may also look good in the USCIS report (that they processed cases in 2013).
